America, you're being ripped-off! And, it's not just for peanuts, either! It's for Half a Billion Dollars! That's right, the American Congress, your elected Federal Legislators in Washington, have found a way to skim $500,000 from the just passed, bare bones $87 Billion Appropriations Bill, intended to keep the newly-freed nation of Iraq running through the end of this year.

Where is the money going? You guessed it: no place good! It's going to rebuild burned-out houses in California! That's right, half a billion of your hard-earned tax dollars are going to rebuild houses out in LaLa Land!

That money, American tax money, was NEVER intended to be spent in America! Everyone knows that American tax dollars are to be spent overseas, in countries that we Americans have PLEDGED to support, throughout eternity! It's not fair! It's not right! And, it's not American to spend that money here!

That money was earmarked to go to the Halliburton Co., to help them rebuild Iraq, not to some silly liberals to help them rebuild their homes, up in the hills above LA! Wake up, America! Halliburton needs that money to build schools, and roads, and hospitals, and oil pumping stations, and to get the lights working again in Baghdad. California is rich. Iraq is poor. Have a heart, for once!

What if you were a large stockholder in Halliburton, or one of the top executives at Halliburton? Don't you think you'd miss that money? Don't you think they're going to need it? It's not fair to one of America's strongest, most dedicated, fastest growing oil supply companies! A loss like that could really hurt the bottom line!

Now that Enron, and El Paso Gas are pretty much out of the picture, WHO's going to do what those companies did for the average American, besides Halliburton? What, don't you think Vice President Cheney knows what he's doing?

America, we've got dependent countries to support now, and forever! There's Iraq, and Afghanistan, and Israel, and Egypt, and Columbia, and Russia, and Pakistan, and Liberia, and a whole bunch of others. You KNOW we're going to have to invade Syria, and Iran; possibly North Korea, and maybe Saudi Arabia and Nigeria. Maybe we'll even have to do it before the election! We're going to have to support them too, you know. We can't go giving away money to just ANYBODY, here in AMERICA! Do these Congressmen think we're MADE out of money?

That brings up yet another thing that is totally distasteful about this half billion dollar rip-off. Look, Compassionate Conservatism means being Compassionate to Conservatives, to the good people that have supported the Bush Administration from the start (and a few other lucky people that are "Politically Correct" enough to just keep their mouths shut). It does NOT mean being compassionate to EVERYBODY! The administration is supposed to give tax kickbacks to everyone on the Administration's side, NOT to every Joe Blow liberal, Barbara Streisand-lover out there in California fruitcake land! Tax breaks are supposed to go to only the TOP one or two per cent of Americans, not to every person lucky enough to happen to have a house in the hills above LA or San Diego! For God's sake, some of them might be middle class, or even (God forbid!) underpriveleged people, or alien Mexicans, or something! Think, America! That's not right! We're supposed to be eliminating the middle class here, not helping them! That's what this Compassionate Conservative Administration is all about. You know that!

America, you've got to call or write your Senators and Congressmen, and demand that they give back the half a billion they stole from the people of Iraq, TODAY! E-mail's ok, but a phone call or hand-written letter is much better. Do it NOW, before you forget.

Even the Bible says not to worry about what's in your own eye, and to get the splinter out of the other man's eye. It also says to fix up the other guy's house, and to forget about getting your own house in order. If you allow those crooks in Washington to steal this money from the Iraqi people, it not only goes against everything this Great Administration, and a Great American tradition stand for, it's downright immoral!
